He held steadfast to his religious beliefs and devotion to the Ministry, which in the end won out. As he mentioned several times, “this was my calling this is what I enjoy that brings me happiness”. In 2008 Chris married a very special person, Pat and they made Alpine, Tx their home. They each had been married with children but became they became a happy family that included his daughter, Marisa Rodriguez Brisson, sons Tim and Michael, and Pat’s daughter, Shannon and their son Marcus Blaine.
Chris’s education includes a Bachelor’s degree from Southwestern
University in 1973; Master’s degree from Harvard Divinity School in 1976; Law
Degree from The University of Texas School of Law in 1982. He also studied
Forms of Government at Southwestern University and received a Masters of
Divinity
On November 29, 2012, Chris recalled in a Post: “Four years
ago, at this very moment, was standing at the front of Roscoe UMC waiting for
my bride to be dragged up the aisle by grandchildren the grandkids were in a
hurry, at least I want to believe, to begin this joyous, special journey as
husband and wife. Pat has been a blessing to me each day, and our love grows
deeper and stronger each day because we've placed our love and marriage in
God's hands...and it's such a peaceful and contented place. Thanks, Pat for picking me...love ya' always.”
